Humanitas partecipa a progetti internazionali nei quali sono previste attività di
formazione destinate a giovani ricercatori.
La finalità dei programmi è duplice. L'obiettivo a lungo termine è di migliorare
l'efficacia della cooperazione internazionale. Il proposito a breve termine è invece di offrire a
giovani professionisti la possibilità di acquisire una formazione lavorativa sul campo in materia
di cooperazione e allo stesso tempo di mettere a disposizione le conoscenze disponibili dei
ricercatori.

Development of molecularly targeted anticancer agents
The Unit of Experimental Therapeutics at the Humanitas Cancer Center is seeking a dedicated
and energetic candidate to be offered a
Post-Doc position for a research project on the antitumor activity of new
drugs.
The research project focuses on investigating in preclinical models the anti-tumor activity of
combinations of molecularly targeted agents, in order to provide a rationale to early-phase
clinical trials. Investigational compounds are being studied for patients with incurable
hematological cancers, including multiple myeloma, chronic lymphocyte leukemia (CLL), and
non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL).
Suitable candidates should
- hold a PhD in biotechnology
- be very self-motivated and passionate about scientific investigation and its clinical
applications
- be versed in cancer molecular/cell biology techniques, animal experimentation, and mass
spectrometry or willing to acquire these skills
- be independent, creative researchers, capable of working efficiently with colleagues as part of
a collaborative, cross-functional team, and enthusiastic about opportunities for scientific
research
- be fluent in English.
We offer a project in an exciting research area with high medical relevance. Our group is
integrated in an international research network studying the mechanism of action and the activity
of experimental therapeutics in cancer to establish a basis for innovative therapies. Several
renowned laboratories within the Istituto Clinico Humanitas offer further opportunities for
