Patrizia Presbitero
Dr. Patrizia
Presbitero graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1973 at Turin University and in 1976 specialised in
Cardiology. She gained vast professional experience first at the Molinette Hospital of Turin and
then as Assistant and Research Fellow in Cardiology at the National Heart Hospital and the Hospital
for Sick Children in London, Cardiology Lecturer at Turin University and Giovanni Bosco Hospital of
Turin. Since 1997 she is Director of the Invasive Cardiology Division of Humanitas in Rozzano
(Milan). Dr. Presbitero is known worldwide as an expert in congenital, surgically treated or non
surgically treated disorders, mainly in adult patients. For this activity she was Chairman of the
Grown-up Congenital Heart Disease of European Society of Cardiology from 1994-1996. Her
professional experience goes on to haemodynamics (heart catheterisms: simple and complex in all
heart and lung diseases) and to interventional cardiology: angioplastics, Rotablator, IVUS,
valvoplasty, percutaneous DIA closure, interventions on other venous and arterial districts in
particular on the carotid. Dr. Presbitero has published more than 200 scientific works on national
and internal journals and is fellow of the European Society of Cardiology. |
